Damon Shoholm, Director of the Wilder Foundation’s James P. Shannon Leadership Institute
Damon brings more than a decade of experience in leadership development, civic engagement and facilitation training. Damon has significantly contributed to Wilder Center for Communities, providing leadership for the Youth Leadership Initiative, Neighborhood Leadership Programs and Latino Leadership Programs. In addition, he works with nonprofit, government and community organizations to increase the capacity of individuals, organizations and communities.
Jean Walstrom Haley, MS, MSW, LICSW
Jean is a clinical social worker who teaches mindfulness in a variety of settings including the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota and Shakopee Correctional Facility. She has been a consultant to local organizations on mindfulness and stress reduction and the use of mindfulness as an adjunct to psychotherapy. A long-time
meditator, Jean began her formal training in MBSR with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli in 2003, and is a viniyoga instructor.
Shereese Turner, Sr. Program Director for Twin Cities RISE! and Program Director of Reentry Connect
Shereese coaches, mentors and helps to restore lives, and collaborates with other organizations. She finds nothing more gratifying that sharing her own personal story of determination and resilience. “The outer layer of people’s lives never shows us how many holes the person has inside. Caring and providing emotional support for someone is filled with many possibilities...the possibility of touching someone in a way that may hurt their spirit, or of touching those in a way that may help them heal.”
