The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) developed this training to assist facility case managers and field agents understand how to make referrals and is making the training available to community reentry partners as well. This training is one of the many changes Minnesota state agencies have been making in order to comply with the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Olmstead v. L.C. and the related Minnesota caseJensen v. MN DHS that people with disabilities must receive services in the most integrated setting appropriate to the person's needs.

Jolene Rebertus is currently working for the Minnesota Department of Corrections as a State Program Administrative Manager, overseeing behavioral health release planning. She began her DOC career as an SPMI Release and Reintegration Specialist. Prior to coming to the Department of Corrections, she was a Program Supervisor at a Minneapolis Board and Lodge for SPMI adults. Jolene attended graduate school in Chicago, IL and obtained an MA in Forensic Psychology.
