You may have noticed that when the same kind of challenge or difficulty strikes two different people, one person will cope with it stronger than ever, while the other is much worse for wear.
What makes the difference between thriving and barely surviving? In the past century there have been lots of studies aimed at answering that question. What we’re finding in study after study is that resiliency − the ability to effectively deal with life’s demands − isn’t simply a matter of luck. It’s a matter of developing the right skills and assets.
Your life is a balance between the demands on your energy and time and your resilience assets. What you will learn from this class is a better understanding of what resiliency is and why it’s important. Participants will complete a Resilience Assessment. Taking a resilience assessment can help you discover how resilient you are. This Personal Resilience Assessment Tool will help you discover more about why you may respond the way you do. Participants will also develop a tool kit of practical concepts for becoming more resilient, both at work and at home.
