Guiding families through the process of the reintegration of their loved one from incarceration. Getting back into life after incarceration is difficult for the individual who was in prison. There are also challenges for family members as well. This presentation will review some of the risk and protective factors involved in the process of reunification a family member. What can be done to support families and individuals and avoid pitfalls that might inhibit successful transitions.

Theodore Tessier LMFT, LADC, MAC is as a marriage and family therapist and an alcohol and drug counselor. He is a board approved supervisor for mental health and addictions counselors. Mr. Tessier has a master’s degree in counseling and psychotherapy and a master’s level certificate in addictions counseling. Mr. Tessier is a therapist in private practice at Tessier & Associates PLLC. He is also community faculty at Metropolitan State University teaching Substance Use and Native Americans, and also Racial and Cultural Considerations for Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
Trainings are free to all current Second Chance Members.
