Agent Safety: Fighting Complacency, A Shared Responsibility: Steps for Improvement
This training will focus on what agencies can do to fight complacency in the workplace by taking a look at these things: being proactive, setting agency priorities, development of on-going safety committees, assess extent and nature of worker safety problem, establishment of an incident reporting system, policy and procedure analysis, development of agency safety curriculum, and development of a remedial safety program. This training will also challenge the participants to take a look at their “inner cowboy” and examine how our attitudes and behaviors may escalate situations rather than diffuse them.
Target Audience: Everyone…remember safety is everyone’s responsibility!!!
Presenters: Terry Fawcett and Dan Bartlett Terry Fawcett and Dan Bartlett currently work at Arrowhead Regional Corrections. Terry and Dan are both certified by the American Probation and Parole Association in Search and Seizure/Officer Safety. Additionally, they both completed the federal Search and Seizure Training Academy in 2008, as offered by the U.S. Probation Office, District of Minnesota. They have had the pleasure of training probation and parole departments statewide since 2005.
